I scream, you scream, we all scream for... Gelatos!

I'm very excited to see more and more "art supplies" sneaking into our traditional craft toolboxes. Our newest addition to the shop are Faber Castell's Gelatos. That's right, like the ice cream. We're still not 100% sure why they are called Gelatos, but my guess is that it is because they are creamy, rich and smooth and come in a whole array of colours.

When you take off the cap of the Gelato, the top looks like a lip balm, but the consistancy is closer to that of a lipstick. When you draw on a piece of ordinary paper, the top glides along the paper as you would expect a lipstick to. You can then smudge them with your finger, or use a waterbrush to thin the color and spread it across your page. Here is a small roundup of some projects we love using Gelatos.
